HomeMy WebLinkAbout840265.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP" AND "STOP AHEAD" SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF WELD COUNTY ROADS NO. 21 AND NO. 18 . WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering has informed the Board of County Commissioners that to allow traffic to flow unobstructed on Weld County Road No. 18 they recommend that "stop" and 'Stop ahead" traffic devices should be installed on Weld County Road No. 21 to insure safety to the traveling public, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, upon the recommendation of the Weld County Department of Engineering, has determined that said traffic devices are necessary for the protection of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missionersof Weld County, Colorado that the Department of Engi- neering is directed to install "stop' and "stop ahead" signs at the intersection of Weld County Road No. 21 and Weld County Road No. 18 for the safety of the general public, and that said signs must conform to the State manual and specifications. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of February, A.D. , 1984. Section Head I.1, COLORADO From pp subject: Installation of "Stop" Signs at Intersection of Weld County Roads , 21 and 18 As requested by the Fort Lupton Fire Department and recommended by the Colorado State Patrol , 30" octagon "Stop" signs will be placed at the intersection of Weld County Roads 21 and 18. The existing Crossroad signs will be replaced with 30" 'X 30" "Stop Ahead" advance warning signs to control traffic on Weld County Road 21. This will allow traffic to flow unobstructed on Weld County Road 18 and make it a through road. The above will be completed at the earliest opportunity we receive.
