Re: Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Pipeline Company Septic Permit;
Tetra Tech Job No. 133-23474.08001
To Whom It May Concern:
The septic system for the Suncor Energy (U.S.A.) Pipeline Company site will be sized
based on a maximum of 8 employees per an 8-hour shift. The ISDS will be designed
based on a maximum daily flow of 180 gallons per day. The ISDS will use a 1000-gallon
two-compartment septic tank and Quick Four Standard Infiltrator® Chambers. Based
upon the preliminary calculations, the system will be sufficient to handle the proposed
flow.
The absorption trenches are to be constructed with Quick Four Standard Infiltrator®
• Chambers installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. A
minimum of one foot (1') and a maximum of two feet (2') of fill material will then be
placed over the units. The on-site soils can be used as cover material. The cover material
will be installed with loose fill and minimum compaction.
The Engineered System will be designed in accordance with Weld County Individual
Sewage Disposal System Regulations. The owner will be required to meet the required
distance criteria as shown in Appendix 30-B of the Individual Sewage Disposal System
Regulations for Weld County.
The absorption field shall be constructed in the general vicinity of percolation test holes.
The proposed system can be constructed in the proposed location without endangering
the public health, safety, and well being of the public.
