The site will be covered under a 112 mining permit from the State Division of Mining Reclamation and Safety,Permit#M-2007-038 and a County USR Permit. Operations at the site will begin in late fall, and will not exceed 6 months of on-site activity per year. This letter is notice of our intended water use plan as one of the conditions of the Use by Special Review Permit. Water for dust control will be used on the haul road and during material processing. Water for dust control will come from an approved well (likely from the Greeley Geisert dust control well or a new dust control well located near Briggsdale). A water truck will be assigned to the pit during the mining, crushing, and stockpiling activities. Due to the intermittent nature of the mining and processing activities, drinking water for workers at the site will be from truck-mounted coolers and/or bottled water. A domestic supply well at the Fiscus homestead, 1/2 mile to the south of the mining area would provide a back-up supply should it be needed. If you have any questions, please call me at extension 3739.
