CENTRAL WELD COUNTY WATER DISTRICT July 20,2005 Melvin Dinner,P.C. 822 7c'Street,Suite 540 Greeley, CO 80631 RE: Water Service to Petro-Canada Resources(USA)Inc.Property Dear Mr. Dinner: This letter is in response to a request for water service to serve the following property described as follows; Part Section 18,Township 4 North,Range 64 West,Weld County,Colorado. Water service is presently available to the above described property by tap number 2001 located at Weld Co. Rd. 46 between 49 & 51. Additional water service can be made available to this _ property, provided all requirements of Central Weld County Water District, Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District and the Bureau are satisfied. This property has been petitioned into Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. New service will have to meet the criteria stated in the Water Shortage Contingency Plan adopted by the Board on June 20, 2002. Central Weld County Water District requires that contracts be consummated within one (1) year from the date of this letter or this letter shall become null and void unless extended in writing by the District. Please contact the Central Weld office for thither information about water service. Due to the rapid cost increase of raw water, existing tap fees may not apply for water service to this property. The District will not notify, by separate letter, any prospective landowners or land purchasers of tap fee or line extension cost increases. The cost of a tap fee and/or improvements will have to be paid in advance to the District by the prospective customer in accordance with District policy. This has been revised for 20 field workers (at 5 gallons/day) and 2 day workers (at 15 gallons/day). This is still within the 375 gallons/day of the original septic system design so no changes will be necessary. The soil at the site is silty clayey sand that is underlain by sandstone/siltstone bedrock at a depth of approximately 6 feet. The site will be used for commercial activities, therefore an engineered septic system is required for the site and has been attached with this letter. Min Bed Area: Q = max 15 day workers x (15 gal/person/day) = 225 gallons/day 225 gallons/day x 150% = 375 gallons/day Area = (Q x 't/ 3.5) 1.3 = 881 square feet of absorption bed SEPTIC SYSTEM DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS 1. Septic Tank—Minimum = 150% of 30 hours avg flow = 1.5 x (225 x 1.25) = 1,000 gallons 2. Bed Area - 881 square feet 3. Distribution Box- Installed level to provide equal distribution of effluent. 4. Gravel - 12 inches (minimum) clean gravel graded from %" to 2W in size extending from at least 2 inches above the top of the leach line to at least 6 inches below bottom of leach line for the full width of absorption bed. 5. Leach Line - 3 or 4 inch perforated PVC placed at 6'0" on center and laid level to provide even distribution of the effluent over the entire bed. 6. Cover - Untreated building paper or straw placed over the gravel to minimize infiltration of fines into the gravel and pipe during backfilling operation. 7. Backfill - 12 inches (minimum) to 24 inches (maximum) of on-site soil or imported wicking sand. The top 4 inches shall be a select organic topsoil. GENERAL NOTES 1. All construction shall be in compliance with Weld County Health Dept and State regulations. 2. Any deviation from the plan must be approved by WCHD and/or Northern Colorado Geotech prior to construction. 3. All parts of the field shall be located the minimum distances from land features including 100' from any well, pond or ditch, 20' from all dwellings and 10' from all property lines. 4. The system shall be inspected by WCHD and/or Northern Colorado Geotech during critical phases of construction. 5. Positive drainage shall be provided to minimize surface runoff from entering the system. 6. The top of the field shall be seeded or sodded with low-water demand vegetation to control erosion and aid evapo-transpiration. Large trees or shrubs should not be planted within 6 feet of the field. 7. The completed leach field should not be paved or driven over at any time. Hello
