RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING ESTABLISHING VOTE CENTERS FOR
2008 PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 1-5-102.7(1),C.R.S.,and pursuant to the recommendation
of Steve Moreno, Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Board may approve the establishment of
vote centers in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moreno has presented a request to the Board to approve the list of vote
centers in Weld County for the 2008 Primary and General Elections, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 2nd day of June, 2008, at which
time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter for approximately one week, to allow
adequate time to hold a work session regarding the possibility of an additional vote center location
within the Town of Hudson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to, June 9, 2008,
at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 2nd day of June, A.D., 2008.
