RE: APPROVE CHANGE OF VOTE CENTER FROM WINDSOR TOWN HALL TO TOZER
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR 2008 GENERAL ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 1-5-102.7(1),C.R.S.,and pursuant to the recommendation
of Steve Moreno, Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Board may approve the establishment of
vote centers in Weld County, and
WHEREAS,by Resolution#2008-1636,approved by the Board on June 9, 2008, the Board
approved a list of vote centers for the 2008 Primary and General Elections, which list included
VC 30—Windsor Town Hall, and
WHEREAS, due to reconstruction work to the Windsor Town Hall made necessary by the
May 22, 2008, tornado, VC 30 needs to be changed to Tozer Elementary School, 501 Oak Street,
Windsor, for the 2008 General Election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Vote Center VC 30 be, and hereby is, changed to Tozer Elementary
School, 501 Oak Street, Windsor, for the 2008 General Election.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 17th day of September, A.D., 2008.
