RE: ESTABLISH VOTE CENTERS FOR 2008 PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 1-5-102.7(1),C.R.S.,and pursuant to the recommendation
of Steve Moreno, Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Board may approve the establishment of
vote centers in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, on June 2, 2008, Mr. Moreno presented to the Board a list of vote centers in
Weld County for the 2008 Primary and General Elections, a copy of said list being attached hereto
and incorporated herein as Exhibit"A,"and a map showing the location of said vote centers being
incorporated herein as Exhibit"B," and
WHEREAS, at said meeting, the Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to
June 9, 2008, to allow adequate time for the Clerk and Recorder's Office to assess the possibility
of establishing a vote center in the Town of Hudson, and
WHEREAS, on June 9, 2008, the Board deems it advisable to establish the vote centers
in Weld County for the 2008 Primary and General Elections as indicated in the attached Exhibits
"A" and "B."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado,that the vote centers in Weld County for the 2008 Primary and General Elections
be, and hereby are, established as indicated in the attached Exhibits "A" and "B."
