The house was built with a septic system in the 1950's and remains on that
system. Permits were not required until quite a few years later. The City of
Greeley has not offered sewage service to the area (probably because the area
is outside the city limits). When we bought the house in November of 2003 the
septic tank had been pumped just a few months prior to that time. The former
owner indicated he had not had any problem, which is the case yet today. With
just my son living in the house I do not expect any problem. If the system goes
bad in the future that is when we will face it and take care of the matter.
