RE: APPROVE CONTINUANCE OF HEARING FOR CHANGE OF ZONE, A (AGRI-
CULTURAL) TO C-4 (COMMERCIAL FOUR) - VERN JOHNSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a Change of Zone hearing was scheduled for Vern
Johnson on January 25 , 1984, at 2 : 00 p.m. , as stated in the
Notice dated December 21 , 1983, and published in the La Salle
Leader on December 22 , 1983, and January 12 , 1984 , a copy of
said Notice being attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and
WHEREAS, because only three Commissioners were present at
the hearing of January 25 , 1984 , the applicant chose to continue
this matter to a date when all five Commissioners would be pre-
sent, and
WHEREAS, the Board deemed it advisable to continue the
hearing until February 1 , 1984 , at 2 : 00 p.m. , and
WHEREAS, because only four Commissioners were present at
the hearing of February 1 , 1984 , the Board deems it appropriate
to continue said Change of Zone Hearing, requested by Vern
Johnson, to February 8, 1984 , at 2 : 00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Change of Zone
hearing, requested by Vern Johnson, be, and hereby is , continued
until February 8 , 1984 , at 2 : 00 p.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 1st day of
February, A.D. , 1984 .

A public hearing was conducted on February 1 , 1984, at 2:00 P.M. , with
the following present:
Commissioner Norman Carlson, Chairman , Excused
Commissioner Jacqueline Johnson, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Gene Brantner
Commissioner Chuck Carlson
Commissioner John Martin
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Rnard, Mary Reiff
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department Representative, Rod Allison
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 21, 1983, and duly
published December 22, 1983, and January 12, 1984, in the TaSalle Leader, a
public hearing was held for the purpose of considering the application of Vern
Johnson for a Change of Zone, A to C-4. This hearing was continued from Janu-
ary 25, 1984. Lee Dbrrison, Assistant County Attorney, read the request into
the record. Rod Allison, representing the Planning Department, stated that
this hearing had been continued until today in order to be, heard' before the! full
Board, and since Chairman N. Carlson was excused from today's hearing, the
applicant had requested that the hearing be continued again. Commissioner Martin
moved that the Change of Zone hearing for Vern Johnson be continued until
February 8, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Brantner seconded the motion.
Discussion was held concerning the applicant's wish to be heard by the full
Board. The motion carried unanimousley.

With respect to our telephone conversation on January
31 , 1984 concerning the re-scheduling of the Board of County
Commissioner' s Hearing for Case #Z-393 : 83 : 8 , we will proceed
with the option discussed and therefore not be heard by
the Board of County Commissioners on February 1, 1984 . It
