Re: Notification of Project Approval - 1982 Special Bridge
Account
Dear Chuck:
I am pleased to announce that the Highway Commission, at its June 17,
1982, regular meeting approved your bridge project, structure number WEL
016.5.001.0B, for state funding from the Special Bridge Account for a
maximum of $204,800. This approval is subject to the following
conditions:
- The approved maximum funding limit on any project cannot exceed
80 percent of actual project costs.
- The approved maximum funding limit will not be increased to
cover increased costs or cost overruns.
- No state funds will be paid for any costs, including engineering
costs, unless and until construction on the project is commenced.
Your project is one of the fourteen projects that was funded with the $1.5
million 1982 County share of the Special Bridge Funds. We received a
total of twenty-two county applications representing forty-two projects
and totaling more than $6.6 million of needed improvements.
Attached is a copy of the Process for Allocating Special Bridge Money as
adopted by the Highway Commission, which outlines your responsibilities in
having funds released. I call your attention to step 5 which requires
certification of intent to proceed within 45 days of receipt of this
letter.
