RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES ON WELD COUNTY
ROAD 25 NORTH OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 62.25
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that"No Parking" signs be installed with directions to the Poudre Trail Parking area at the
Poudre Learning Center and "Pedestrian Crossing" or"Trail Crossing" or similar signs be
installed on Weld County Road 25 between Weld County Road 62.25 and the bridge over the
Cache la Poudre River which is located a distance of approximately 1573 feet north of the
center of intersection with Weld County Road 62.25 to ensure safety to the traveling public and
trail users, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for
the protection of the general public.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to
install "No Parking" signs with directions to the Poudre Trail Parking area at the Poudre
Learning Center and install "Pedestrian Crossing" or"Trail Crossing" or similar signs on Weld
County Road 25 between Weld County Road 62.25 and the bridge over the Cache la Poudre
River which is located a distance of approximately 1573 feet north of the center of intersection
with Weld County Road 62.25, and said signs shall conform to the State Manual of Uniform
Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of April, A.D., 2001.
