SUMMARY OF THE WELD COUNTY UTILITY BOARD
Thursday, March 8, 2001
Page 2
Gary Sandau asked where the well listed for fire protection is located on the plat. Ms. Lockman noted
that well placement could be noted on the plat. Ms. Lockman read from the application that the well is
located in the southeast corner of the subdivision. Mr. Sandau noted that he would like to see access to
this well from the subdivision road, rather than the county roads.
Doug Dalton noted that the required easement for between lots is 20'with a 20' perimeter easement as
well, noting that this plat does not have these correct. Ms. Lockman noted that this can be made a
condition of approval.
Don Carroll noted that the applicant is working on moving an existing easement through Lot 1 off the
subdivision to allow for access to an adjacent parcel.
Jerry Adams noted that the site could be served by Greeley Gas, rather than Excel, if the applicant
chose to do so, noting that the previous case had that option as well.
Don Magnuson moved to approve the plat with changes to allow for a minimum 20' access easement
across Lot 5 to existing fire protection water source with all-weather access marked on the plat as well
as a uniform 20' perimeter easement and 10' easement on either side of the interior lot line. Doug
Dalton seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Respectfully submitted,
