RE : Weld County open pit sand and gravel operation located
within the SE4 , SW'k , and SW4 ,SE4 , Sec . 35 ,T3N , R68W and
N- ,NE� , Sec , 2 ,T2N , R68W , Weld County ; or , approx . 1 mile
east of Interstae 25 , along and south of St . Vrain Creek .
Dear Mr. Chairman :
We have evidence that Weld County is operating the above mine
without a permit as required by Article 32 of Title 34 ,
Section 109 (7) , C . R . S . 1973 . Weld County was issued a Cease
and Desist Order for all its mining operations by the Mined
Land Reclamation Board on June 28th , 1978 . Board action
concerning these alleged violations are authorized by 34-34- 123
and 34-32- 124 .
You are hereby notified that at the June 25-26 , 1980 Board meet-
ing the Mined Land Reclamation Board will consider what actions
it should take against Weld County under the provisions cited
above . At the meeting you will have the opportunity to appear
in person or by your attorney , to present your case and par-
ticipate generally in accordance with the governing rules and
laws . Please contact the Division on or after June 21st , 1980
for the exact time and place of the June Board meeting .,
