RE: GRANT REQUEST OF THE BOY SCOUTS FOR USE OF THE EXHIBITION
BUILDING AND WAIVER OF RENTAL FEE FOR THE SAME.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts have requested use of the Exhibi-
tion Building for their annual Weld District Scout Show to be
held on April 4 , 1981 from 7: 00 a.m. to approximately 6 : 00 p.m.
and have also requested that the rental fee for use of the
building be waived, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to grant
said request for use of the Exhibition Building and also desires
to grant the request for waiver of the rental fee for the same.
However, the expenses for security services and janitorial
services shall be paid by the Boy Scouts .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of the
Boy Scouts for use of the Exhibition Building on April 4 , 1981
be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that the rental fee for use of the Exhibition Building by the
Boy Scouts be, and hereby is , waived. However, the expenses
for security services and janitorial services shall be paid
by the Boy Scouts .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of
March, A.D. , 1981.

Dear Mr. Carlson,
The annual Weld District Scout Show will be held April 4, 1981 in Greeley,
Colorado from 7: 00 am to approximately 6: 00 pm at Island Grove Park. This
is the biggest annual Scouting event for all of Weld County and is attended
by several thousand people.
In the past the County Commissioners have graciously allowed the Weld District
the use of the Exhibition Building for this event free of charge. GJe are
again requesting that the Commissioners allow us this privilege. Of course,
we will pay the necessary janitorial fees.
If I can answer any questions about this event, please feel free to call on me.
