Water supply
There are no central or domestic water requirements for the
proposed use. The lakes will remain naturally filled by alluvial
water associated with the South Platte River. The operator will
be applying for a Well Permit to cover the evaporative loss from
the ponds . The land owners have adequate water from other
sources, i.e. , ditches, wells, springs, etc. , that will be used
to mitigate any affects the lakes will have on a permanent basis .
We will be working with the Colorado Division of Water Resources
on a well permit and Temporary Supply Plan if one is required.
The building we will use as an office is served by a shallow
wells, Permit # 17584 . A copy of the permit is attached for your
review. The well permit for the caretakers house is also at-
tached, Permit #169399A. This well is located in the ranch
complex area on land owned by Tom Sharkey and he is in the
process of transferring ownership to his name. This well will be
used for our potable requirements at the mining operation if
needed.
We also have access to a second domestic well on the south
end of the project area. This well is owned by Krystal
Hoffschneider, Permit #217238 . She is in the process of trans-
ferring ownership to her name. This well can also be used for
potable requirements at the mining operation if needed. A copy
of the permit is attached for your review.

Sewage disposal system
Toilet facilities will meet Weld Health Department require-
ments . We will install toilet facility, concrete vault with an
outhouse, before mining begins . This unit will be maintained and
pumped regularly. We will contract with a disposal company for
pumping services once the facility is built. The advantages to
this type of facility is it can be placed in close proximity to a
lake without degrading the water quality in that lake, it is
cheaper to install a vault and have it pumped and we do not have
to have running water to use with a leach field septic system.
The facility will be located in the Plant Site area and above the
100 year flood plain.
Additional toilet facilities will be available at the office
in the ranch complex area. The caretakers house also has an in
ground septic system that appears to have no permit. This septic
system was installed prior to the need for a permit. The system
has been maintained and is in good working order. The septic
permit for the Hoffschneider house is attached.

ISSUANCE OF THIS PERMIT DOES NOT CONFER A WATER RIGHT
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
1) This well shall be used in such a way as to cause no material injury to existing water rights. The issuance of this permit
does not assure the applicant that no injury will occur to another vested water right or preclude another owner of a vested
water right from seeking relief in a civil court action.
2) The construction of this well shall be in compliance with the Water Well Construction Rules 2 CCR 402-2,unless approval
of a variance has been granted by the State Board of Examiners of Water Well Construction and Pump Installation
Contractors in accordance with Rule 18.
3) Approved pursuant to CRS 37-92-602(3Xb)(II)(A)as the only well on a residential site of 34.9 acres described as Lot A
Recorded Exemption, Weld County more particularly described in attached exhibit A..
4) Approved for the use of an existing well constructed under Permit no.207439 to a total depth of 60 ft.
5) The use of ground water from this well is limited to ordinary household purposes inside one single family dwelling. The
ground water shall not be used for irrigation or other purposes.
6) The return flow from the use of this well must be through an individual waste water disposal system of the
non-evaporative type where the water is returned to the same stream system in which the well is located.
7) The maximum pumping rate of this well shall not exceed 15 GPM.
8) This well shall be constructed not more than 200 feet from the location specified on this permit.
9) The production from this well is limited to the Alluvial aquifer.
NOTE:Issuance of this permit cancels permit no.207439.
NOTE:To Insure a maximum productive life of this well,perforated casing should be set through the entire producing
interval of the approved zone or aquifer indicated above.
NOTE:The ability of this well to withdraw its authorized amount of water from this non-renewable aquifer may be less than
the 100 years upon which the amount of water in the aquifer is allocated,due to anticipated water level declines.
NOTE:This permit has been approved for household use only based on the site being less.than 35 acres and the well
withdrawing from a tributary source.. You are hereby notified that you have the right to appeal the issuance of this permit,by
filing a written request with this office within sixty(60)days of the date of issuance,pursuant to the State Administrative
Procedures Act.(See Section 24-4-104 through 106,C.R.S.)

ISSUANCE OF THIS PERMIT DOES NOT CONFER A WATER RIGHT
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
1) This well shall be used in such a way as to cause no material Injury to existing water rights. The issuance of the

2) The construction of this well shall be In compliance with the Water Well Construction and Pump Installation Rules
2 CCR 402-2, unless approval of a variance has been granted by the State Board of Examiners of Water Well
Construction and Pump Installation Contractors in accordance with Rule 17.9) Approved pursuant to CRS 37-92-602(3)(c) for the relocation of an existing well, permit no. lj p . The
old well must be plugged and abandoned according to the Water Well Construction and Pump Installation Rules
within ninety (90) days of completion of the new well. The enclosed well abandonment report form must be
completed affirming that the old well was plugged and abandoned.
4) The depth of this well shall not exceed 60 feet or the base of the South Platte River alluvium.
5) The use of ground water from this well is limited to ordinary household purposes Inside one single family dwelling,
fire protection,the watering of poultry,domestic animals and livestock on a farm or ranch, and the irrigation of not
more than 10,000 square feet of home gardens and lawns.
6) The maximum pumping rate shall not exceed 15 GPM.
7) The average annual amount of ground water to be withdrawn shall not exceed 1 acre-foot.
8) This well shall be constructed not more than 200 feet from the location specified on this permit.
