RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES NEAR 3581
WELD COUNTY ROAD 51
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board did, by Resolution dated February 3 , 1986 ,
refer the request of Robert Swank for placement of traffic control
signs to the Weld County Engineering Department for
recommendation, and
WHEREAS, the Road and Bridge Department has placed traffic
control signs near Mr. Swank' s residence which is located at 3581
Weld County Road 51 , and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board has determined that said
traffic control signs are necessary for the protection of the
general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the installation of
traffic control devices near 3581 Weld County Road 51 be, and
hereby is, approved for the safety of the general public , and that
said signs must conform to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
November, A.D. , 1987 , nunc pro tunc March, 1986 .

DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Robert Swank submitted a request to the Board of
County Commissioners to erect traffic control devices near his
residence, which is located at 3581 Weld County Road 51 , and
WHEREAS , after review, the Board deems it advisable to refer
said request to the Engineering and Road and Bridge Departments
for their recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request to erect
traffic control devices near 3581 Weld County Road 51 be, and
hereby is , referred to the Engineering and Road and Bridge
Departments for recommendation.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded , adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of
February, A.D. , 1986 .

RE: Weld County Road 10 between Weld County Roads 49 and 51
Dear Mr. Cook:
On March 24, we wrote you concerning the possibility of Weld County
placing a fence at each end of Weld County Road 10 between Weld County
Roads 49 and 51 (copy attached).
We need to know whether you are in agreement with the terms involved -
in the placement of this fence. Therefore, if you are in agreement, "
please sign the original letter we sent you (if you do not have it, please
sign the attached copy) and return to our office by May 14. An envelope
is enclosed for your convenience.
If we do not hear from all of the property owners by May 14, Weld County
Road 10 between Weld County Roads 49 and 51 will remain as it is now:
barracades at both ends but allowing the public to go around them.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or write me.

Weld County Road 10 between Weld County Roads 49 and 51.
At this point in time, Weld County does not have plans for repairing
the washed out portion of this road. However, perhaps some time in
the future, Weld County will consider repairing this stretch of Weld
County Road 10.
In the meantime, Weld County would like to place a fence at each end
of Weld County Road 10 between Weld County Roads 49 and 51 with a
gate in the middle. The property owners would place their own pad-
lock on this gate, giving them access to the road but not the traveling
public. In placing the fence and gate, Weld County will provide and
install the fence and the necessary signing on the gate so that Weld County
Road 10 at this location will be closed. Property owners will be responsi-
ble for supplying and installing the gate.
If this is agreeable to you, please sign this letter in the space provided
and return the original to our office. The copy is for your files."'
