RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF DIRECTIONAL AND WARNING
SIGNS FOR POUDRE RIVER TRAIL CORRIDOR
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Colorado statute, the Weld County Public Works Department
may be directed by the Board of County Commissioners to install and maintain directional and
warning signs along public highways and rights-of-way, and
WHEREAS, portions of the Poudre River Trail Corridor ("Corridor") are near completion
and ready for use, and
WHEREAS, the Corridor is in need of the installation and maintenance of directional and
warning signs, and
WHEREAS, said portions of the Corridor have the legal status of rights-of-way within
Weld County, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said installation and
maintenance of directional and warning signs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Weld County Public Works Department be, and hereby is, directed to
install and maintain directional and warning signs on the Poudre River Trail Corridor.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of August, A.D., 1998.
