RESOLUTION
RE: AUTHORIZATION TO POST PROPERTY WITH "NO DUMPING" SIGNS AND
ESTABLISH $100. 00 FINE FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board
of County Commissioners that the dumping of trash in unauthorized
areas of the County has become a matter of concern, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the area at County
Roads 81 and 14 be posted as a "No Dumping" area, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deem it advisable
and in the best interest of Weld County, Colorado, that the area
at County Roads 81 and 14 be posted "No Dumping by Order of the
Board of County Commissioners" as a test project for controlling
dumping in the County and to state a $100. 00 fine against violators
as allowed under Section 30=20-114 , CRS 1973, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the area at County Roads
81 and 14 is to be posted with "No Dumping by Order of the Board of
County Commissioners" signs as a pilot project to control dumping
of trash in the County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a $100.00 fine is
hereby provided against violators as allowed under Colorado statutes .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
April, A.D. , 1978 .
