Gentlemen:
We have inspected the site and reviewed information on the mineral
resources that may be on the subject property. Based on the Soil
Conservation Maps and the Weld County Comprehensive Plan Mineral
Resource Maps, there are no known sand and gravel or coal resources
shown. There are no indications of any mining activities on the
subject property or adjacent tracts .
There is an existing oil and gas well on the property which is
addressed in more detail within the rezoning application.
The evidence would indicate that this property would be suitable
for a minor subdivision for residential use, and would not
impact the recovery of any mineral resources .

HILLCREST SUBDIVISION
DRAINAGE REPORT:
This tract has been under cultiviation with irrigation (by pumping) in the past.
The Soil Conservation Service has classified this soil to have moderate permea-
bility and medium surface runoff . The land is sloped at I to 3%. The loca-
tion, topography and present use do not reveal any offsite or onsite drainage
problems.
The proposed Minor Subdivision will not significantly alter the location or to-
pography of the site. The use will change from irrigated farmland to " estate-
residential ".
The lots are sized from 4.0 to 7.4 acres with an average size of 5.7 acres each.
The addition of a home, a few "out buildings", and access road on each lo'i will
not increase the storm water runoff significantly.
Our recommendation is to covenant that each lot be responsible for providing
surface control of the storm water through landscaping and berming and direct-
ing runoff via sheet flow to the open space area on the lot.
This sketch plan drainage report is submitted with the sketch map whicn shows
the area, general topography, general soils conditions and road layout.
GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
Based on the location, the slope of the ground, the surface soils and a general
visual inspection of the site, the land appears to be stable and suitable for
the proposed use.
