This results in a decrease in the outside water supply required from 23.9 AF/YR to 19.1 AF/YR and a decrease in the total subdivision water supply from 40.2 AF/YR to 39.4 AF/YR. Therefore, using the 125 feet of saturated aquifer thickness, the total available water supply from the Laramie- Fox Hills aquifer is 36.5 AF/YR. which is more than the required supply of 35.4 AF/YR. We would appreciate your review and approval of this revision. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. If it is possible to have a copy of your response faxcimiled to Ms. Gloria Dunn in the Weld County Planning Department, their faxcimile number is 1-970-352-6312. July 12, 1996 Mr. John Martin 147 South Denver Avenue Ft. Lupton, Colorado 80621 WRC File: 1862/6 RE: Buffalo Ridge Estates Subdivision Dear John: We are in receipt of the State Engineer's Office letter of June 25, 1996, regarding the water supply for the above stated project. Although the Senate Bill 5 maps show a saturated sand thickness for the property of 150 to 165 feet, two site specific geophysical logs indicate an average sand thickness of 125 feet. Therefore, the State will only issue well permits based upon the 125 feet value. Per my conversations with Mr. Bill McIntyre of the State Engineer's Office, a reduction in the allowable outside irrigated area per lot to 4,000 square feet will allow the state to find that an adequate water supply is available for the subject project. This is based upon a required supply of 35.4 AF/Yr. which is less than the total available supply of 36.5 AF/Yr. If you have any questions. please call. Respectfully Submitted, WRC ENGINEERING.
