RE: APPROVAL FOR WELD COUNTY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT TO CONSTRUCT
A "Y" INTERSECTION AT THE INTERSECTION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 74
AND WELD COUNTY ROAD 19 AND TO MAKE THE SAME INTO A THREE-WAY
STOP.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer has received several com-
plaints stating that the intersection of Weld County Road 74 and
Weld County Road 19 is a dangerous intersection and further that
several accidents have occurred at said intersection, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer has recommended to the
Board of County Commissioners that said intersection should be
made into a "Y" Intersection and that the same be made into a
three-way stop to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
recommendations of the Weld County Engineer and has determined
that said "Y" Intersection and three-way stop are necessary for
the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Department of
Engineering is directed to construct a "Y" Intersection at the
intersection of Weld County Road 74 and Weld County Road 19 and
to make the same into a three-way stop for the safety of the
general public, and further that said stop signs must conform
to the state manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of
February, A.D. , 1979.
