RE: APPROVE CORRECTION TO RESOLUTION #960982 (CHANGE IN POLLING PLACES
FOR 1996 ELECTIONS) CONCERNING PRECINCT NUMBER FOR MILLIKEN
COMMUNITY COMPLEX
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1-5-101(1), CRS, and pursuant to the recommendation
of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Board did, by Resolution dated August 7, 1995,
establish Weld County Polling Places for 1996, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #960982, dated June 3, 1996, the Board did approve the
recommendation of the Clerk and Recorder to change certain polling places for the 1996 Elections
as follows:
Precinct #60102 Billie Martinez Elementary School from Stampede Ticket Office
341 14th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado
Precinct#60321 Milliken Community Complex from Milliken Town Hall
1101 Broad Street, Milliken, Colorado
WHEREAS, on the 19th of June, 1996, the Board was advised by a memorandum from the
Weld County Election Department that the precinct number for the Milliken Community Complex
was erroneously submitted as Precinct #60321 and must be corrected to Precinct#68258, and
WHEREAS,the Board deems it advisable to approve said correction to the precinct number
in Resolution #960982 for the 1996 Polling Places for Weld County as above stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Precinct Number for the Milliken Community Complex for the 1996
Polling Places for Weld County be, and hereby is, corrected to 68258.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Resolution #960982 approved on June 3,
1996, be, and hereby is, corrected to reflect the Milliken Community Complex Precinct Number as
68258.
