RE: APPROVE REMOVAL OF WEIGHT LIMIT POSTING AT BRIDGE 6/23A
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that the "15-Ton Weight Limit" sign be removed from Bridge 6/23A, due to the lack of
posting requirements for this particular bridge, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are not necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to
removed said sign from Bridge 6/23A, due to the lack of posting requirements for this particular
bridge.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of November, A.D., 1999.

Based on this we should remove any bridge posting signs.
