The Fort Collins soil is a deep, well drained soil . It is
(V formed on terraces and smooth plains from alluvial and eolian
e material . The surface is a loam. The subsoil is a clay loam.
J7 The underlying material is a fine sandy loam. The soils have
moderate permeability. Their available water holding capacity
is high. Roots penetrate to 60 inches or more. Runoff is
slow and the erosion hazard due to wind is low to moderate.
32 KIM LOAM, 1 TO 3 PERCENT SLOPES
r �G The Kim soil is a deep, well drained soil . It is formed on
smooth plains and alluvial fans from mimed eolian deposits and
parent material . The surface and subsoil is a loam. The
T underlying material is a fine sandy loam. The soils have
moderate permeability. Their available water holding capacity
is high. Roots penetrate to 60 inches or more. Runoff is
slow and the erosion hazard due to wind is high.

The Olney soil is a deep, well drained soil . It is formed on
