Your request is to reduce the original number of lots from nine to reflect the current configuration showing a total of five lots. The District Board of Directors met today and discussed your request. The Board, Staff and District Engineer all agreed that capacity exists in our system to accommodate water service to the development, however improvements to the system must be made in order to deliver water (in the amount requested) to the lots. You have previously submitted a"Review Request" along with the appropriate fee for our analysis and consideration. Information derived from that analysis was used to formulate this commitment for service. Enclosed with this letter is another letter from our Engineer detailing the results of the Review Request. The District will commit to provide domestic water service via five standard 5/8" x 3/4" residential water taps to the proposed development described as follows: Five residential lots situate in the south half of the northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 68 West of the 6th Principal Meridian in Weld County, Colorado. . The commitment for service is conditional upon the following: 1. A 12" line must be installed from Weld County Road 34 to the subdivision in order to achieve the fire flow as required by the Mountain View Fire Protection District. (See enclosed letter - Review Request results and Board recommendation). The cost of this line extension will be your responsibility. 2. All other improvements to District facilities necessary to provide service will be ths; financial responsibility of the Developer or other such person(s) requesting service. 981531 Mr. Kermit Bohrer Page 2 June 15, 1998 3. All improvements must conform to District specifications. All Bylaws, Policies and Regulations will apply to any and all services and improvements. The Board of Directors of the District expressed serious concerns about what they consider to be unreasonable requirements for fire flow in this(and other)proposed residential area(s). Their concern is that the local fire authorities are placing ever increasing unreasonable fire flow requirements on developments without regard to cost (both installation and perpetual maintenance) vs. measurable benefit. In any case,in order to achieve the required fire flow of 1500 gpm @ 20 psi residual pressure, a 12" line must be installed as indicated in condition #1 above. This commitment for service will expire six months from the date of this letter should the taps not be purchased and installed by that date. All fees are subject to change without notice. I have compared our map to your sketch plan. I have also investigated the field location in an effort to determine that United Power would serve your proposed development.
