HomeMy WebLinkAbout981614.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE CHANGE IN POLLING PLACES FOR 1998 ELECTIONS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1-5-101(1), C.R.S., as amended, and pursuant to the recommendation of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Board did, by Resolution dated April 20, 1998, establish Weld County Polling Places for 1998, and WHEREAS, it has now been recommended by the Clerk and Recorder that certain polling places for the 1998 elections be changed, and WHEREAS, approval is needed for the following precinct: 19326 After Glows Senior Center from Old Lochbuie Town Hall 0510 Willow Drive, Lochbuie, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change to the 1998 Polling Places for Weld County as above stated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the above stated change to the 1998 Polling Places for Weld County be, and hereby is, approved. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 2nd day of September, A.D., 1998. "SUM" TSUKAMOTDcat -� WELD COUNTY CLERK & RECORDER SUBJECT: POLLING PLACE CHANGE Approval is needed for the following polling place change: Please change polling place 19326 to the After Glows Senior Center located at 0501 Willow Drive, Lochbuie, from The Old Lochbuie Town Hall. The Board established the polling places for 1998 by Resolution dated April 20, 1998. We were required by statute to establish polling places for a Coordinated Election by August 5, 1998. (1-5-102.5). However, it became apparent at the Primary Election that the Old Town Hall provided inadequate space for voting and had poor handicapped accessability. - . 981614 Hello
