RE : INSTALLATION OF FOUR-WAY STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF COUNTY ROAD NO. 43 AND COUNTY ROAD NO. 62 IN WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering Services of Weld
County, Colorado, has previously switched the stop signs which
existed on County Road No. 43, north and south bound, to
County Road No. 62 , east and west bound, without notification
or warning, and
WHEREAS, several concerned citizens residing in the area
of the intersection of County Roads No. 43 and 62 have expressed
their objections to the Department of Engineering Services '
procedure, and have further stressed to the Board of County
Commissioners , their desire that the Department of Engineering
Services consider the intersection of County Roads No. 43 and
62 to become a four-way stop, and
WHEREAS , after careful consideration and much deliberation
of all the details involved, the Board of County Commissioners
has determined that it would be in the best interest of, and
necessary for the protection of the general public, to author-
ize the installation of a four-way stop at the intersection of
County Road No. 43 and County Road No. 62 in Weld County,
Colorado.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of
Engineering Services be, and hereby is, directed to install four-
way stop signs at the intersection so mentioned above.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
