RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC ON COUNTY
ROADS AND AT COUNTY ROAD INTERSECTIONS IN WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, a multitude of complaints have been made to the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that drivers of
motor vehicles habitually drive on County Roads and through County Road
Intersections without regard for the general safety of drivers of other
motor vehicles, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1963 Colorado Revised Statutes, 13-5-69 (1),
as amended, local authorities, with reference to streets or highways under
their jurisdiction, are authorized to designate through streets or highways
and to erect stop signs and/or no parking signs at specified areas and/or
specified entrances thereto, and
WHEREAS, said Board, pursuant to such complaints, has deter-
mined upon the basis of traffic and personal investigations that conditions
exist which make it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic
on County Roads by posting signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that the Board deems it necessary
to regulate, warn and guide traffic on County Roads and any intersections
thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic
control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or
guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic
control devices shall conform to the State Manual and specifications.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commis-
sioners, Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish a NO PARKING
zone area on the North and South sides of County Road No. 58, a/k/a West

20th Street from 47th Avenue to 59th Avenue in West Greeley, Weld County,
Colorado, all as shown on plat as submitted by the Weld County Traffic
Coordinator and made a part hereof by reference.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of January, A. D, ,
1975.

Traffic Study County Road 58

The traffic study made by John Campbell on December 11 , 1974 has
been revised as follows .
A dangerous condition exists from 47th Avenue to 59th Avenue on
the north and south side of 20th Street . Vehicles are parking
on the road right of way adjacent to the asphalt pavement thus
creating a hazard to the vehicles driving on 20th Street . The
sight distance of traffic entering 20th Street from the cross
roads is being restricted and reduced due to these parked vehicles .
Sufficient off street parking space is available for Aims College
personnel and for the other businesses in the adjacent area.
I am instructing the Traffic Division to place "No Parking" signs
on the north and south side of 20th Street from 47th Avenue to
59th Avenue as shown o the attached sketch.
