RE: INSTALLATION OF "YIELD" AND "YIELD AHEAD" TRAFFIC DEVICES
ON COUNTY ROAD NO. 10 AT COUNTY ROAD NO. 47, CAUSING COUNTY
ROAD NO. 47 TO BECOME A THROUGH ROAD IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
has recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that "yield" and "yield ahead" traffic devices
be installed on County Road No. 10 at the intersection with
County Road No. 47 to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
recommendation of the Department of Engineering Services, and
has determined that said "yield" and "yield ahead" traffic
devices are sufficient, eventhough the residence of the area
have requested that stop signs be installed at said intersection.
It has been determined by the Department of Engineering Services
through traffic studies that the yield signs would be the appro-
priate signs for this intersection, and the Board deems it
advisable to follow the recommendations of the Department of
Engineering Services. Said "yield" and "yield ahead" traffic
devices are necessary to insure safety to the traveling public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that in order to regulate,
warn, and guide traffic, said traffic control devices are for
the safety of the general public, and must further conform to
the State Manual and specifications. By approving the instal-
lation of "yield" and "yield ahead" traffic devices on County
Road No. 10 at the intersection of County Road No. 47 , said
County Road No. 47 becomes a through road.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day of
January, A.D. , 1978.

Yield signs on County Road 10
Subject:
After conducting a 72 hour traffic count , I am
recommending that County Road 10 have yield signs
installed making County Road 47 the thru road. The
sketch of this proposal is attached.
I would request that you adopt the necessary resolution
for the signing of County Road 10.
