RE: SALARY OF WELD COUNTY CORONER
WHEREAS
, Section 13-8(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter states that the Weld County Council shall set the
salaries of all elected officials; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Council has, by majority vote, agreed that the salary for the County
Coroner should be as follows:
$35,000.00 per year for the years 1995 and 1996
$38,000.00 per year for the years 1997 and 1998
$65.00 per case for the years 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that if the proposed wording change to the Home Rule
Charter of Weld County, Article VI, Section 6-5(4) where the words "and the Coroner" would be deleted
passes, the County Coroner shall be paid $35,000.00 per year for the years 1995 and 1996, and $38,000.00
per year for the years 1997 and 1998 with the coroner receiving the benefits package that's offered gf if the
proposed wording change fails, the Coroner would be compensated $65.00 per case, with the previously
compensated $15.00 per body removal fee being eliminated, with said salary/compensation to take effect on
the first working day of 1995.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on Motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the
following vote on the 6th day of July, 1994.
