RE: PAYMENT OF PROFESSIONAL AUDITOR U 1 _ X
GHLLLLY, COLO.
WHEREAS, the Home Rule Charter for Weld County provides
in Section 13-8(7) as follows:
Section 13-8(7) For the purposes of assisting the
Council in carrying out the duties set forth in paragraph (6)
above, the Council may appoint a performance auditor who shall be
responsible solely to the Council . The Council shall determine
his qualifications and compensation. He shall serve at the pleasure
of the Council . The office of performance auditor need not be a
permanent position, but the office may be filled by the Council as
it deems necessary; and
WHEREAS, Hyland and Associates conducted an audit for the
Weld County Council in November 1983, charging an agreed upon rate
of $300.00 a day plus 30 cents a mile for vehicle use, for a total
bill of $1 ,272.00; and
WHEREAS, the amount is a compensation rate established by
the Council in regular meeting of September 2, 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Weld County Council
present the bill of $1 ,272.00 from Hyland and Associates to the Board
of County Commissioners for payment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Weld County Council
agrees to pay Hyland and Associates $300.00 a day plus 30 cents a
mile for vehicle use, for any additional audits requested by the
Council during the 1984 calendar year. This resolution shall serve
as amendment to the contract previously adopted by the Board of County
Commissioners in March 1981 , and is amended nunc pro tunc to November
10, 1983, and expires December 31 , 1984.
