Subject: Suggested Charter Amendments
On October 10, 1983, Don Elliott presented the Board with a
list of 23 Charter amendments which have been suggested to
the council . You indicated at that time that you would discuss
the list after the first of the year and at that time request
a worksession with the council .
In view of the time element, the council feels they need an earlier
response from the commissioners regarding those amendments
which the council plans to pursue, namely, performance auditor/
authority of the County Council and special tax districts.
The council requests the Board to take the necessary action to
place these amendments on the ballot for November 1984 and notify
the council of your position with regard to these by January 5, 1983.
