Dear Mr. Gathman:
This letter is in regard to the Use By Special Review #1330. As representatives for
the Zadel Family we are requesting the Planning Staff review of our proposed changes to
the plat. The original intent of Special Use Review#1330 was to provide a shop building
for heavy equipment maintenance and to provide office space for the employees. The
plat indicates one building for this use.
During the design phase of the project we have determined that the shop area and the
related shop activities are not compatible with an office environment. Members of the
Zadel Family have visited other sites of similar type businesses. These business owners
have said that the shop area and the office area need to be physically separated. There are
shop activities that create noise that becomes impossible to provide an adequate sound
barrier. Examples are large air compressors running, air impact wrenches being used and
in general heavy equipment with metal tracks being pulled in and out of the shop
building. The design for two separate building provides for a much better work
environment for each area.
There will be no change in the planned number of employees at the facility.
We request that the planning department review our request and approve the plans as
