Re: Longmont Aircraft Modelers Association (LAMA) request for Use by Special
Request, USR-1446 (denied)
Dear Kim,
This letter is written to advise the Weld County Planning Department that LAMA,
as required, has removed our property from the site located on the James Boyd
property located at the intersection of County Line Road and County Road 36.
This includes removing the Geotex surfaces, the cargo container, flight stations,
spectator fence, and all other club property. Per our previous discussion, the
fence around the seven-acre plot remains in place, as it is agricultural. The
landowner gave us permission to leave the fence in place and we consider it to
be his property.
I greatly appreciate your help, support, and advise with the USR application
process. Unfortunately we were not successful in convincing the county officials
that our activity was compatible land use.
