RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS AT
THE INTERSECTION OF WELD COUNTY ROADS 7 AND 12
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Weld County Department of Engineering has in-
formed the Board that visibility is impaired at the intersection
of Weld County Roads 7 and 12 , when traveling east, and they recom-
mend that "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" traffic devices be installed
at said intersection to insure safety to the traveling public , and
WHEREAS , upon the recommendation of the Department of Engi-
neering, the Board has determined that said traffic devices are
necessary for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Department of Engi-
neering is hereby directed to install "Stop Ahead" and "Stop"
signs at the intersection of Weld County Roads 7 and 12 , said
signs are for the safety of the general public and must conform
to the State manual and specifications.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of
May, A.D. , 1984.

Subject: TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AT INTERSECTION OF WCR 7 & WCR 12
A dike runs North and South along WCR 7 and a hill west of WCR 7. When
traveling east on WCR 12 visibility at the intersection is impaired from
three (3) directions (North, South and West) .
It is my recommendation that 30" x 30" Stop signs preceded by 30" x 30"
Stop Ahead signs be placed to control traffic on WCR 12, leaving WCR 7
open to through traffic.
