RE: GRANT REQUEST OF THE WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR CON-
VERSION OF PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Sheriff' s Office has presented
a list of property held by their office which is unclaimed,
abandoned, or lost and for which a reasonable inquiry has been
made to identify and notify the rightful owner. Despite such
efforts, the rightful owners cannot be identified or located,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 28 , the Weld County
Sheriff has requested official conversion of the property
described in Exhibit "A" , which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, for use by the Weld County Sheriff' s Office
to carry out normal duties and responsibilties , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable
to grant said request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of the
Weld County Sheriff ' s Office for conversion of the property
listed in Exhibit "A" for use by the Weld County Sheriff ' s
Office to carry out normal duties and responsibilities be, and
hereby is granted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 29th day of
September, A.D. , 1980 .

Attached is a list of property held by my Office which is unclaimed,
abandoned, or lost and for which a reasonable inquiry has been made to
identify and notify the rightful owner. Despite such efforts, the
rightful owners cannot be identified or located.
Pursuant to Ordinance 28, adopted in 1978, I respectfully request official
conversion of the described property for use by my Office to carry out
normal duties and responsibilities. Some of the items will be used to
supplement existing equipment, provide a source of property to be used
during "sting" operations, or in the case of cash be contributed directly
into the General Fund.
