RESOLUTION
RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL
ACTION. AGAINST MABEL SCHAFFER FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD
COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Board of. County,Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of October, 1983, the Board of
County Commissioners denied the request of Mabel Schaffer for a
Use by Special Review Permit, said Use by Special Review Permit
being necessary to maintain a dog kennel in an A-Agricultural
Zone District, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County
has determined that Mabel Schaffer is maintaining a dog kennel
without proper permits in an A-Agricultural Zone District, con-
trary to the provisions of Section 31. 2 of the Weld County Zon-
ing Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the property on which said violation is occurring
is described as Lot 5, Block 79 , Aristocrat Ranchettes Sub-
division, Third Filing, Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado deems it necessary to bring legal action to correct
said zoning violation, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to request the
assistance of the Humane Society concerning this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Thomas 0. David, Weld
County Attorney, be, and hereby is, authorized to take appro-
priate legal action against Mabel Schaffer, for maintaining a
dog kennel without proper permits in an A-Agricultural Zone
District on the real estate described herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Humane Society
be requested to assist in this matter.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 17th day of
October, A.D. , 1983 .
