RE: EXTENSION OF THE TERMINATION DATES OF CERTAIN WEED CONTROL
DISTRICTS IN WELD COUNTY
WHEREAS, the -Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held before the Board of County
Commissioners on the 16th day of December, 1981, at 2: 00 o'clock p.m. ,
concerning the extension of certain weed control districts located in
Weld County, Colorado, to-wit:
Windsor-Severance District #1
Johnstown District #2
St. Vrain District #3
Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey District #7
and,
WHEREAS, petitions were presented to the Board requesting
extension of the termination dates of the above named districts from
December 31, 1981, to December 31, 1986, and
WHEREAS, evidence was taken by the Board and it appearing to
the Board that the extension of the termination dates of the
above described weed control districts should, in the best interests
of Weld County, be extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commis-
0r sioners that pursuant to Section 35-5-1-4 (&) , CRS 1973, as amended,
that the termination date of the above named weed control districts
in Weld County be, and hereby are extended from December 31, 1981
to December 31, 1986.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
December, A.D. , 1981.

A public hearing was conducted on December 16 , 1981 at
2 : 00 P.M. , with the following present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 18, 1981,
duly published November 19, 1981 in the Johnstown Breeze, a public
hearing was held on the request of the W.strict AdviSory 'Committees for the
Windsor-Severance, Johnstown, St. Vrain and Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey
Weed Control Districts. The petitions requested an extension of the
termination date of said districts from December 31, 1981 until December
31, 1986. Stan Boyes, extension department director, recommended
the extension of the weed districts to December 31, 1986. George
Maxey commented on the job the weed district men perform.
Commissioner Carlson made a motion to extend the termination dates of
the above weed control districts to December 31, 1986. Neil Seebring
was present and asked that the weed control program be extended.
Commissioner Kirby seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

Pursuant to Section 35-5-104 (7) , Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1973 as amended, Notice is hereby given that a
hearing will be held before the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, on the 16th day of December, 1981,
at 2 : 00 o' clock P.M. , in the meeting room of the First Floor
of the Weld County Centennial Center at 915 10th Street,
Greeley, Colorado 80631, at which time the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, will hear the evidence
upon the petitions presented by the District Advisory
Committee for the Windsor-Severance, Johnstown, St. Vrain
and Milliken-LaSalle-Kersey Weed Control Districts. Said
petitions request an extension of the termination date of
said districts from December 31, 1981 until December 31,
1986. All interested persons should appear 'at said hearing
and give testimony as to whether or not said termination
date should be extended.

Weed Control District do hereby petition the Board of County Commissioners re-
questing an extension of the termination date of the district until

In accordance with House Bill No. 1107 passed in 1975, the Board can do this
by holding a hearing to determine if the Weed Control District should or should not
extend the termination date. If the Board determines after this hearing that such
extension date is advisable the Board shall immediately declare the extension of the
termination date and shall inform the district advisory committee and the County
Assessor.
