RE: APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY AMBU-
LANCE SERVICE AND NORTH COLORADO MEDICAL CENTER AND AUTHORI-
ZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 29th day of March, 1982, an agreement be-
tween Weld County Ambulance Service and Weld County General
Hospital (now known as North Colorado Medical Center) , was
approved by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Ambulance Service and North Colo-
rado Medical Center now desire to include an addendum to said
agreement, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners having reviewed
said addendum, attached hereto and incorporated herein by ref-
erence, deems it advisable and in the best interests of Weld
County to approve said addendum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the addendum to the
agreement between Weld County Ambulance Service and North Colo-
rado Medical Center, be and hereby is , approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be,
and hereby is, authorized to sign said addendum to the agreement
between Weld County Ambulance Service and North Colorado Medical
Center.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of
July, A.D. , 1982.

WELD COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICE
AGREEMENT ADDENDUM
The Ambulance Company agrees :
1. To provide one paramedic per shift 24 hours a day,
• seven days a week for medical flight duty on the Air
Life medical helicopter service. This paramedic will
be one of the two assigned .to Emergency Department duty
in the hospital.
2. To provide an on call paramedic for additional
support in the Emergency Department.
3 . To permit storage of helicopter supplies and equip-
ment in part of the Medical. Center garage rented to the
Ambulance Company.
4 . To provide Workmen' s Compensation insurance for Weld
County Ambulance Company employees at all times when
they are assigned duties related to this contract.
The Medical Center agrees :
• 1. To pay the Ambulance Company $12. 00 an hour for para-
medic flight time.
2. To provide a pocket pager for the paramedic assigned
to flight duty.
3. To indemnify, save and hold harmless Weld County, its
officers, directors, agents , servants, and employees from
losses which may be presented or initiated by any person
or persons for property damage or bodily injury, including
death, directly resulting from any helicopter accident
which may occur during helicopter operations under this
contract.:

The Medical Center agrees : (continued)
4 . To indemnify, and hold harmless Weld County, its
officers, directors , agents , servants, and employees
from losses which may be presented or initiated by
any person or persons for bodily injury, including
death or property damage arising out of malpractice,
error or mistake in the rendering of or failure to
render any medical , surgical , dental or nursing ser-
vice or treatment conducive to health or of a pro-
fessional nature, or the furnishing or dispensing of
drugs or medical or dental or surgical supplies , ap-
pliances or equipment, in connection with helicopter
services under this contract.
