RE: APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , several vacancies currently exist on the Board of
Adjustment, and
WHEREAS , it has been recommended that Jerry Kiefer fill the
At-Large position which was previously held by Mark Weston, with
his term to be from January 18 , 1984 , through December 31, 1984 , and
WHEREAS , it has been recommended that Ruby Fields fill the
Associate position which she formerly held, with her term to be from
January 18 , 1984 , through December 31, 1986 , and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Jim Parker be re-
appointed to the At-Large position for a term to be from January
18 , 1984 , through December 31, 1986 , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to appoint
and reappoint the above mentioned individuals to the Board of
Adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the above mentioned
individuals be, and hereby are, appointed and reappointed as
members of the Board of Adjustment with their terms to expire as
herein stated.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of
January, A.D. , 1984 .

Jim Parker
Term to begin January 18, 1984 and to expire December 31 , 1986.
He is being reappointed. He is in an At Large position.
Jerry Kiefer
Term to begin January 18, 1984 and to expire December 31 , 1984.
Will fill position being vacated by Mark Weston who resigned.
He is in an At Large position.
Ruby Fields
Term to begin January 18, 1984 and to expire December 31 , 1986
Will fill her old position which had not been filled after her
resignation in 1982. She is in an Associate position.

Dear Gordon:
I have just written Chuck Carlson informing him of my
resignation from the Board. My wife and I are moving to
Douglas County.
In February, when I was asked by the Commissioner's sec-
retary it I would be interested in a regular (as -opposed to
associate) appointment to the BOA, I mentioned that I would
be resigning soon. She xecommended that we take this approach.
I would like to offer an editorial con:nent. The new meet-
ing schedule is an excellent move. The irregularity of the
case frequency coupled with the short notice before a meet
ing combined to create an unsatisfactory situation. I hope I
this helps.
