RE: Hydrant locations and Suppression systems
Faith Tabernacle Church
It is my understanding that the fire hydrants for the church are to be located on 28"St on the west side of
the drive way and along 71"Ave,next to the west entrance. These sites as noted in the plans meet the
requirements of the Milliken Fire Protection District. However, as of this date the hydrants have not been
installed. This is of concern to the fire dept. I have been told that there are contractors that are going to be
installing these hydrants but they can not get to this job for a while_ I have spoken to Mr Perdew and
stressed the importance of having them installed and he has agreed to get them installed as soon as
possible.
I spoke with Mr. Perdew today and was advised that the vent hood installation for the kitchen was in
progress,I have not seen this system . I also do not know if it is a dry chemical or a carbon dioxide
system. At this time it is the view of the Milliken Fire Protection District that the suppression system does
not meet our requirements
As soon as the suppression system for the kitchen has been installed please contact me so we can inspect
the system. The fire hydrants will also need to have a flow test completed by the fire department to verify
that the minimum required fire flow is available. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.

Subject: S-518 - Vacation of a Portion of Peterson-Alexander Subdivision
Dear Mr. Ogle:
Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposed vacation of several lots within the
Peterson-Alexander Subdivision. The City of Greeley has the following comments:
1. From the information received, it appears only the lots will be vacated. The City notes it
would be appropriate to vacate 70'Avenue Court south of 26' Street as well.
Additionally, any easements on these lots which are not needed for the development of
the church should be vacated as well.
2. At some point, the City will need to secure an easement for fire hydrants. If this is an
appropriate time, we would be happy to forward additional information to you to secure
the easements as part of this action.
3. According to my letter of June I, 1999,the applicants need to dedicate additional right-
of-way adjacent to their site on 715` Avenue. This repeat might he an appropriate time to
accomplish this task as well.
4. The City does not require the vacation of 70' Avenue Court south of 26' Street until
Phase 2 of this development.
The vacation of the lots should be approved with items 1-3 adequately addressed. Should any
