RE: APPROVE EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION MODIFICATION REQUEST FOR JOB
TRAINING PARTNERSHIP ACT (JTPA) OLDER WORKER PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization
Modification Request for the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Older Worker Program
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Area Agency
on Aging, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commencing July 1, 1999,
and ending June 30, 2000, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said request,
and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Expenditure Authorization Modification Request for the Job
Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Older Worker Program between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the Colorado Department of Labor
and Employment be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said request.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 10th day of January, A.D., 2000, nunc pro tunc July 1, 1999.

SUBJECT: Revision to PY99 JTPA Older Worker Contract
Enclosed for Board approval is a revision to the PY99 JTPA Older Worker Contract with
the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
This revision is a simple transfer between line items adding an equipment request of
$2,000 to purchase a computer. There is no increase or decrease in the total amount
of the contract.

Weld County is requesting a transfer between line items, adding an equipment request.
Weld requests$5,500 be transferred from the Direct Training line. $3,500 of these funds to be moved
to the Training related line and $2,000 is requested to be used for a purchase of a PC for the older
worker case manager.
IV. REVISED GOALS AND OBJECTIVES, OUTCOMES, ETC.
There are no revised goals,objectives or outcomes resulting from the modification of funds.
V. RATIONALE FOR MODIFICATION(S)
The$3,500 that will be transferred from Direct Training to Training Related line is to adjust the
current levels of spending in the categories. The Older Worker case manager currently has a vax
module and an old 386 County PC on his desk. It would be more efficient in all aspects to combine
uses into one current pc and that accounts for the$2,000 request for equipment purchase.
