March 15, 2000 Dept. of Planning Services Weld County 1555 N. 17th Ave. Greeley, CO 80631 The Division of Wildlife received the request from your agency for comments concerning final plat for Beebe Draw 2v° filing(case # S-- 525) . The maps provided for this filing reveal that the developer has for the most part conformed to our agreement concerning :he buffer zones along the riparian back water corridor formed by -the canal and the inlet to Milton Reservoir. Lot #427 (sheet 7) is odd shaped and the 100' setback, as it is drawn on this map does not conform to the setback agreement. During our recent telephone conversation, you mentioned that the utility company requested that utilities be placed in the 100' setback on those lots located along the riparian backwater corridor. Prior to granting that request, we would require a written explanation stating the work to be done including any permanent structures, reseeding plans and future disturbance in those setbacks as a result of maintaining those utilities. Buffer zone setbacks were established to minimize wildlife impacts along the corridor so it is important to minimize use and disturbance in those areas.
