RE: SET HEARING DATE CONCERNING THE PETITION SUBMITTED BY THE
BRIGHTON AREA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF
BRIGHTON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Brighton Area Fire Protection District and the
City of Brighton have submitted a petition under the Special
District Control Act, CRS 32-1-201 , et seq. , for consolidation
of the City of Brighton into said Fire Protection District, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to 32-1-208 , CRS 1973 , as amended, the
Board of County Commissioners must hold a public hearing con-
cerning said petition within 30 days of its filing in order to
determine whether said petition should be approved or disapproved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado will hear this matter on
September 3 , 1980 at the hour of 2 : 00 o 'clock p.m. , and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Department of
Planning Services is directed to seek input on said petition from
the Planning Commission pursuant to statute, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
that, pursuant to statute, the Weld County Clerk and Recorder
shall deliver the petition to the Weld County Planning Commission.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of
August, A.D. , 1980.

PUBLIC HEARING Docket #80-56
THE SERVICE PLAN OF THE PROPOSED
BRIGHTON AREA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given of a hearing before the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, on
the 3rd day of September, 1980 at the hour of 2 : 00 P.M.
in the Weld County Commissioners ' hearing room, first
floor, Weld County Centennial Denter, 915 10th Street,
Greeley, Colorado, for the purpose of considering the
service plan of the proposed Brighton Area Fire Pro-
tection District. This notice is given pursuant to
the Special District Control Act, Section 32-1-201
et seq. , CRS 1973.
Copies of the Service Plan are on file at the Office
of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
located on the 3rd floor, Weld County Centennial
Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado and may
be inspected during regular business hours.
Within 20 days after the completion of the hearing,
the Board of County Commissioners will consider the
approval of the Service Plan.
All interested parties under the law will be afforded
an opportunity to be heard at said hearing.

of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado.
