RE: APPROVAL OF BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY
AND AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND AUTHORIZATION FOR CHAIRMAN TO
SIGN THE SAME.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a bridge improvement agreement between Weld County
and Aims Community College has been presented to the Board of
County Commissioners for approval, and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said agreement is to provide for
the participation of Weld County in the cost of widening County
Bridge No. 58/31A, and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides for Weld County to pay
$20, 000 or 50% of the total cost of widening the bridge, which-
ever amount is less, to Aims Community College in a single pay-
ment upon completion of the improvements, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied
said agreement and deems it advisable to approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the bridge improvement
agreement between Weld County and Aims Community College be, and
hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of
October, A.D. , 1980.

BRIDGE IMPROVEMENT AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 22nd day of
October, 1980 by and between the COUNTY OF WELD, State of Colo-
rado, hereinafter called "County" and AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE of
Greeley, Colorado, hereinafter called "Aims" .
For and in consideration of the mutual covenants and con-
ditions hereinafter set forth, the parties hereto mutually agree
as follows :
1 . The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for the
participation of County in the cost of widening County
Bridge No. 58/31A which is located adjacent to the
property of Aims.
2. The County hereby agrees to pay up to $20,000 for the
widening of said bridge No. 58/31A provided, however ,
that the County shall in no event pay more than 50%
of the total cost of the design, engineering and
construction of said widening project.
3. The County shall make payment of said $20,000 or 50%
of the total cost, whichever amount is less, to Aims
in a single payment upon completion of the improve-
ments. Upon presentation by Aims of invoices from
the designers , engineers , or constructors of said
improvements , and after said improvements are accepted
by the Weld County Engineer, the County shall pay to
Aims 50% of the invoice amount, subject to the above
limitation.
4 . Aims shall be totally responsible for the design,
engineering and construction of said improvements .
