Home My WebLink About20000812.tiff RESOLUTION RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.: "...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting signs thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 6 between State Highway 85 and Weld County Road 83 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 3, 2000, for approximately thirty working days for a bridge replacement, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 15.5 between Weld County Roads 52 and 54 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 3, 2000, for approximately four working days to replace a culvert, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. 2000-0812 EG0024 ROAD CLOSURE -WCRS 6, 15.5, 44, AND BUSS AVENUE PAGE 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 44 between Weld County Road 11 and 1-25 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 3, 2000, for approximately five working days to replace a culvert, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that Buss Avenue at 8th Street into the Airport Complex be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 3, 2000, for approximately fifteen working days, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 10th day of April, A.D., 2000, nunc pro tunc April 3, 2000. WCR 15.5 between WCR 52 and WCR 54 closed on 4/3/2000 for four days to replace a culvert. WCR 44 between WCR 11 and 1-25 closed on 4/3/2000 for five days to replace a culvert. Airport project: Buss Ave at 8th Street into Airport Complex closed on 4/3/2000 for 15 days. The appropriate documentation is enclosed.
