RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO WORKFORCE
DEVELOPMENT BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Workforce Development Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Kathleen Rees be appointed to said board
as a large business, private sector representative, to replace Craig Fowler; that Jorge Amaya
be appointed to said board as a new economic development representative; and that Ron
Klaphake be appointed to said board as an economic development, community based
organization representative, to replace Bill Argo, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Sue Bjordland and Lucille Mantelli be
reappointed to said board, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Kathleen Rees to said board with
her term to expire December 31, 2000; that Jorge Amaya be appointed to said board with his
term to expire December 31, 2002; and that Ron Klaphake be appointed to said board with his
term to expire December 31, 2001, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Sue Bjordland and Lucille
Mantelli to said board with their terms to expire December 31, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Kathleen Rees be, and hereby is, appointed to the Workforce
Development Board, with her term to expire December 31, 2000; that Jorge Amaya be, and
hereby is, appointed to said board, with his term to expire December 31, 2002; and that Ron
Klaphake be, and hereby is, appointed to said board, with his term to expire December 31,
2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Sue Bjordland and Lucille Mantelli be, and hereby are, reappointed to the
Workforce Development Board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2002.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 6th day of March, A.D., 2000.
