RE: APPROVE QUIT CLAIM DEED AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -TOWN OF
HUDSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Quit Claim Deed between the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, and Town of Hudson, 557 Ash, P.O. Box 351, Hudson, Colorado 80642, with further
terms and conditions being as stated in said Quit Claim Deed, for property described as follows:
Those portions of undeveloped County road right-
of-way lying 30 feet on either side of the section
line between the N1/2 of Section 1, Township 1
North, Range 65 West and the S1/2 of Section 36,
Township 2 North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M.,
Weld County, Colorado, as more particularly
described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said Quit Claim
Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Quit Claim Deed between the County of Weld, State of
Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Town of
Hudson be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said Quit Claim Deed.

QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS DEED,made this 28th day of June , 2000 between the COUNTY
OF WELD, a body corporate and politic of the STATE OF COLORADO, by and through the
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF WELD Board of Weld County
Commissioners, of the first part, and the TOWN OF HUDSON, a Colorado Municipal corporation
and a body corporate and politic
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of good and
valuable consideration, to the said party of the first part,the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and
acknowledged,has remised, released, sold, conveyed and QUIT CLAIMED, and by these presents
does remise,release,sell,convey and QUIT CLAIM unto the said party of the second part,its heirs,
successors and assigns, forever, all the right,title,interest, claim and demand which the said party of
the first part has in and to the following described lots or parcels of land situate, lying and being in
the County of Weld and State of Colorado, to wit:
Those portions of the undeveloped County Road Right of Way lying 30 'on either
side of the section line between the N 'h of Section I,T.1 N.,R65W;&S. 1/2 Sec.36,
T. 2N., R 65 W. of the 6`" PM , Weld County , Colorado as more particularly
described in the attached Exhibit"A".
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same,together with all and singular the appurtenances and
privileges thereunto belonging or in anywise thereunto appertaining, and all the estate, right, title,
interest and claim whatsoever, of the said party of the first part, either in law or equity, to the only
proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns forever.

Subject: Annexation by Hudson
It is my understanding the Town of Hudson wishes to annex right-of-way on the
north line of Section 1, T. 1 N. , R. 65 W. and the south line of Section 36,
T. 2 N. , R. 65 W.
Weld County does not maintain a road along this section line.
I reviewed the request with Frank Hempen, Public Works Director, and Dave
Becker, Operations Director. To our knowledge, Weld County has never had a
request to open a road at this location.
To the extent that a right-of-way exists, the Public Works Department has no
objection to the annexation.

Enclosed is the original deed and a copy of the Resolution requested as part of the Hudson
Industrial Park Development and Annexation. My understanding is that Hudson will accept the
roadway and then vacate it if the development process as planned.
We have not recorded the attached so that you can use it as you see fit in the annexation process
now pending.
