Dear County Director:
Enclosed please find the Colorado Works Program work participation rate information for October 1999 through
January 2000(FFY '00 to date). As you can see,our All Families rate has continued to decline over the past four
months. Although the Two Parent rate has broken the declining cycle in January, it is still well below the Federal
requirements. I understand the difficulty in meeting the federal requirements given: (1)the multiple barriers present
in the current caseload and(2)the increased average hour requirement and percentage. Please encourage your staff
to contact us for training and technical assistance in these areas.
These reports may be e-mailed directly to you or your designee each month in lieu of regular mail. If you would
like to receive these reports electronically, please e-mail Tim Cox at tim.cox(i8,state.co.us with the e-mail address of
the contact for your county.
If you have questions regarding the enclosed reports or wish to request technical assistance and/or training, please
contact me at(303)866-4404 or Joe Barela at(303)866-5389.
Sincerely,
Mary Kay Co , Manager
