COLORADO SUBJECT: Intersection Study WCR 74 and WCR 19
The Public Works Department has received several complaints concerning the above rcfeienccd
intersection. Apparently, it is very confusing and is prone to "close calls."
The Department of Public Works has reviewed the accident history and there were no collisions in
1998.
Sight distance on WCR 74 is restricted by sharp turns east and west of the intersection. This
intersection presently has a warning sign and speed reduction signing. In my judgement, this
intersection is working as three closely spaced intersections, and the large number of signs .ue
confusing.
Recommendation
This intersection be rot n'ned to a Tee configuration with a free right turn (see attached drat%ing).
